William Wilson branches across Scotland continue to resolutely follow the Scottish and UK Governments Covid-19 advice and guidelines.

All branches are open and working to their normal trading hours to support customers working in Scotland’s construction industry, the NHS, and Local Authorities or to support vulnerable individuals or groups. Our normal trading hours can be found here.

However, whilst we are in the current period of temporary lockdown, William Wilson bathroom showrooms on mainland Scotland, on Skye and in Stornoway can no longer accept “in person” retail appointments.

News from William Wilson

Dear Customer,

I’m pleased to confirm all William Wilson locations across Scotland will be operating to our normal business hours from Monday 22nd of June, except for Saturdays, when we will remain closed for the time being.

I am also delighted to confirm our trade counters and showrooms will also re-open on this date.

We are pleased to have been able to support you during the coronavirus lockdown period and we know many of you have made significant contributions to supporting the NHS, the care home sector and to other vulnerable groups over the past weeks.

As we begin to safely reopen for business, we have introduced a series of additional measures which, alongside the latest Scottish Government guidelines, are designed to keep our customers and colleagues safe.  These include:

Ordering ahead.  If possible, please continue to order ahead and minimise the time required in your local branch.  We will be continuing to place all orders in a customer collection area for pick up.

Visiting a trade counter or a showroom.  Please always observe safe social distancing measures and any additional measures we have introduced during a visit to our sales counters and showrooms.   These will be signposted and clearly in evidence at all our locations in Scotland.

For those customers who use our showrooms we will also provide an information document that explains how we will manage showroom consultations from Monday 22nd June onwards.

Staffing.  As we begin a safe return to work, some of our branches will be operating at reduced staffing levels.  We will be returning to a full staff compliment as the level of demand increases and if it is safe to do so.

Receipt of goods.  You will no longer be required to sign sales advice notes.  With your permission we will take your name and print it on your receipt.

I’d like to thank you all for your continued support and custom as we progress through this challenging time, and above all please stay safe.

If you have any questions on the above, please do not hesitate to contact your local Branch Manager.

Regards

Robin Mackinlay

William Wilson Customer Notice– Coronavirus Update 24 March 2020

Following the announcement last night by the Prime Minister, we have fully considered the advice given and we are switching to an emergency call out service to support essential services and vulnerable groups across our branch network.  As a consequence, all branches will now close as set out below.

It’s essential we continue to provide a service to our customers for essential requirements, even though our branches won’t be open as normal. We have a responsibility to continue to support those key essential workers and departments, whether in local authority, NHS facilities, or to help provide heating and hot water to a vulnerable person.

On that basis, all our branches will offer an emergency call out service.  You should contact your local branch manager for contact details, if you have not already been provided with these.

To clarify, the emergency call out service will be call and collect only, and we ask that you maintain safe social distancing guidelines at all times.

All deliveries will be suspended for the time being.

Depending on the number of call outs we receive, we may need to consider operating collection windows each day but your local Branch Manager will advise on this.

Thank you for your continued support in these worrying and challenging times.
