William Wilson Kirkwall Sponsor Orkney Hockey

Orkney Hockey is one of the most successful sporting teams in Orkney.  In the past 15 years the club has increased the profile of Orkney Hockey at both local and national level. 

Kirkwall branch manager Alasdair Rendall was approached to become a sponsor, and after evaluation of the costs, Alasdair decided Orkney Hockey was a good example of how William Wilson could contribute to the local community. 

At a local level the team has won their Senior Inter County fixture against Shetland for the past 16 years. 

At a national level, Orkney Hockey has competed in the Scottish District Cup over the past 15 years, managing to progress to the semi-finals on each occasion entered, and winning the competition five times.  The ladies return this year to defend their title. 

Orkney Hockey is committed to supporting and providing affordable hockey to players of all ages, abilities and experience through safe and friendly sporting events.

The club offers competitive and recreational hockey to the community.

The club is particularly committed to junior development with senior players taking the training.
