I am delighted to announce William Wilson Limited have acquired Highland Plumbing and Heating Supplies, based in Tain. 

The Highland Plumbing and Heating Supplies business will continue to operate, from their premises in Tain under the Highland Plumbing and Heating Supplies brand with the same knowledgeable and committed team in place. 

In the next 2-3 months we plan to move the HPHS business onto the William Wilson IT operating platform.  This will enable customers to use their William Wilson trade account at the Highland Plumbing and Heating Supplies branch while guaranteeing consistency in purchasing terms. 

This is an exciting acquisition for William Wilson, which further increases our geographical strength in Scotland, increasing our number of branch locations to 22 and bathroom showroom locations to 18. 

Highland Plumbing and Heating Supplies was established in 2002 and has been trading successfully from their premises in Tain since 2008.

We are delighted Ally, Paul, and the team have joined the William Wilson family, and we look forward to extending our unique service offerings to the Highland Plumbing and Heating Supplies branch in Tain in the coming months.

William Wilson are excited to announce some structural changes which will further support our customers as well as our ambitions for continued business growth.

These structural changes will ensure we have the resource in place to provide an appropriate level of focus on maintaining the high levels of customer service we pride ourselves in, and we know you expect from us.

Steven Hay has been promoted to the newly created role of Operations Director, responsible for all trading activities across our branch and showroom estate in Scotland.

Colin Brand, who was previously our Elgin Branch Manager, has replaced Steven as the Area Manager for our North branches and Lynne Munro replaces Colin as Branch Manager for Elgin.

We are delighted we have the strength and depth within our business to successfully fill these vacancies internally, and we are confident these exciting changes will provide a level of consistency and focus to best support you, our customers, going forward.

The last two years have been particularly challenging for all of us.  As a business our priority has been to keep our colleagues and our customers safe, while at the same time ensuring we are able to support your business needs.

We’re pleased to announce we’re opening a new bathroom showroom in Thurso.

Area Manager Steven Hay said: “I’m confident our new bathroom showroom will deliver an enhanced level of service to all our customers throughout Caithness and Sutherland.  This latest addition takes the number of showrooms within our estate up to 17.”

Steven continued: “This superb addition to our Thurso branch will give consumers the opportunity to view products and with the help of our knowledgeable sales team, obtain inspirational ideas for their bathroom prior to installation. The showroom is also an asset for our trade customers, giving them a showroom destination to send their customers to which will help them make their bathroom choices.”

Bathroom Showroom Development Manager Lorraine Bend said: “We’ve developed an attractive and inspiring more than 100 square metre bathroom showroom at Thurso. 

It’ll be a centre of excellence for bathroom showroom products with the latest trends in bathrooms from all over Europe on display. 

We have over 15 displays on site from leading bathroom companies like Roca, Heritage and Ideal Standard and we’ll be offering a free CAD bathroom design service.”

We are delighted to announce Susan Merson has been appointed as Branch Manager at Northern Heating Aberdeen.

Susan has more than 25 years’ experience, mostly in management, in our industry and we look forward to Susan continuing her successful career with William Wilson.
